About Mimosa Ridge
Mimosa Ridge is a breathtaking wedding venue in Livingston, Alabama. As a Mississippi-based wedding photographer, I have had the pleasure of photographing three different weddings here! The venue is conveniently located just one hour from Meridian, MS. It’s such a beautiful wedding venue. It offers a stunning backdrop for couples seeking a picturesque ceremony. Mimosa Ridge’s claim to fame is that it’s located along the chalk bluffs of the Tombigbee River. In fact, there have been times steam boats and barges have been floating across the river in the background of a ceremony!
The property itself has stunning Spanish Moss Trees located in the lower portion of the ridge. Additionally, the serene river create a dreamlike atmosphere. The venue’s charming Southern style blends elegance with rustic charm.
Multiple Options for Ceremony Locations at Mimosa Ridge
One of the most unique features of The Mimosa Ridge Wedding Chapel is that you can choose from multiple places to have your wedding ceremony. Whether you prefer an indoor or outdoor wedding, Mimosa Ridge has the perfect setting for you.
The Chapel Ceremony Set Up at Mimosa Ridge

You can host your wedding ceremony inside or outside the chapel. Many couples choose to have their wedding ceremony set up in front of the chapel. As a more true to life, film-inspired photographer, I think outside the chapel is a gorgeous place! It makes for the most beautiful, timeless photos. Possibilities for decorating the front of the chapel with florals are endless. In case of rainy weather, it’s great that you can additionally have a back up to have it inside the chapel if needed.
The chapel can seat up to 150 guests. Alternatively, the riverfront can host up to 100 people.

Alternatively, some couples love to have their wedding sixty feet above the chalk bluffs and overlooking the river. Not only is this another beautiful location that is magical, but also produces timeless wedding photos. For couples wanting to host a riverfront ceremony or reception, it can accommodate up to 100 people.
The Newly Built Chateau at Mimosa Ridge
The Chateau: The Newest Feature at Mimosa Ridge!
Currently, the venue is in the process of building a STUNNING addition to the ridge. Aptly named “The Chateau,” this grand ballroom is 5,000 square feet. I am so excited for this addition that will allow for even more photo opportunities. They are currently booking Fall 2025 and 2026 couples. The Chateau will host more guests for your ceremony and reception. The backside of the building has a huge covered deck that can be decorated with string lights, greenery and florals. It has an even more breathtaking view of Tombigbee River.
Imagine having your first dance overlooking this gorgeous view! Likewise, you could host a seated, candlelit evening reception. Truly, the possibilities are endless and it’s such an exciting addition to the venue. Even though it hasn’t officially opened, you can now have photos taken or a grand send off out front of this gorgeous chateau.
Venue Features and Amenities at Mimosa Ridge
Paige and her dedicated team at the venue are here to make your wedding dreams a reality. In fact, Mimosa Ridge is one of the few all inclusive wedding venues in Mississippi or Alabama. For brides who love efficiency, the venue has made it easy for you to pick from a set menu for your reception catering. Although outside catering, cakes, and florals aren’t allowed, Paige (the wedding planner) and her team will work with you to see your vision come to life.
Celebrate your wedding with an unforgettable reception at Mimosa Ridge. The reception area offers plenty of space for dining, dancing, and toasts. Decorate to match your style, from elegant table settings to rustic floral arrangements. Guests will enjoy a comfortable and charming atmosphere throughout the evening.
Catering
You can host both your rehearsal dinner and reception on the grounds of the ridge for a stunning wedding weekend. For your reception, you have a set menu you can choose from. Each reception menu includes an assortment of fruits, cheeses, and vegetables. Additionally, you can choose two dips, 1 salad, 3 finger foods, and 3 meats. For beverages, tea, lemonade, and punch are served. Alcohol is also allowed on the premises, but it is up to couples to provide a licensed bartender to serve.
Wedding Cakes
Paige and her team can work with you to create a beautiful wedding cake for both the bride and the groom. Whether you want a 3 tiered traditional wedding cake or are planning something a little different for the groom’s cake, the staff can do whatever you’d like!
Florals & Decor
Another standout feature of Mimosa Ridge is their floral designs. They can create gorgeous bouquets the bride and her bridesmaids. Their planning services make sure you don’t forget any aspect of your wedding – such as boutonnieres for the groomsmen! Additionally, they can also line outside the Mimosa Ridge Wedding Chapel with greenery or hang a beautiful arch of florals in front of the chapel. You can choose any color scheme and favorite flowers (as long as they’re available in that season) for your wedding. With this in mind, options are limitless!
Pricing
Couples can choose from 5 different wedding packages at Mimosa Ridge. That being said, if you want to invite more than 25 people to your wedding, you will mainly choose from two different options. You can choose “The Wedding Celebration” which starts at $5,900 and host up to 50 people. If you want more than 50 people, you will choose “The Wedding Extravaganza,” package which will start at $7,150.

Lodging at Mimosa Ridge
Your guests will appreciate the convenient accommodations at Mimosa Ridge. Because the nearest town is 30 minutes away, Mimosa Ridge can accommodate your wedding party and family for the weekend. There are 6 cabins on the property, which can host up to 40 people. The three bedroom cabin can sleep up to 10 and was built with the bridal party in mind. In this cabin, there are vanities set up for hair and makeup on site.
Equally important, there is also a two story, two bedroom cabin on the premises that sleeps up to 8. With this in mind, this makes for a great groomsmen cabin.
